Welcome Home! In-Country Vietnam Veterans was founded 40 years ago by a small group of men who served in the U.S. military on the ground during the Vietnam War with a single mission: to perpetuate the image of the war's warriors, not as inaccurately and unfairly portrayed by the media, but as successful, caring and contributing members of their communities who served their country effectively and proudly. Joining were more than 200 in-country men and women, many Vietnam-era vets, South Vietnamese ARVN veterans, and citizen supporters of veterans. Together we provide benefits assistance to veterans, support their re-introduction to civilian life, build and maintain memorials honoring Vietnam veterans, positively represent the Vietnam Veteran in the media and publically, and participate in charitable community service programs for veterans, children and communities

One of the most touching moments in my life happened a couple of years ago. A gentleman from Viet Nam shook my hand and said "Thank you, for fighting for my freedom." To leave me speechless is quite a feat, but that did it. Those of us that serve or have served in the military know that it's not done for the money, or the glory, or the respect. Duty and Honor won't go far towards paying the rent, but the knowledge that you may have made the world a better place to live for just one person is beyond price. In-Country Vietnam Veterans is still trying, and still succeeding at making a difference.

All that is necessary for evil to succeed, is that good men do nothing.
